Biography
After completing his Master's Degree in Criminology, Andre studied law at the University of Victoria. Andre began his practiced in Vancouver with the Tax Litigation section of the federal Department of Justice. As Crown Counsel, Andre advised on various tax matters and argued tax cases in the Tax Court of Canada and the Federal Court of Appeal - all on behalf of the tax collector.
In 1998, Andre joined Dwyer Tax Lawyers. He contests all manner of tax reassessments, whether provincial or federal, and acts as defense counsel in tax evasion cases. Andre has developed planning practice that focuses on tax efficient corporate and estate planning, including post mortem estate variations.
Andre has been an instructor to the British Columbia Bar Admission Course, the University of Victoria Law School, the British Columbia Institute of Chartered Accountants, the Certified General Accountants of Canada, and is a regular speaker on tax-related matters to other groups.
