On October 23, 2009, Dwyer Tax Lawyers and ACT Autism Community Training co-sponsored a lecture by Dr. Barry M. Prizant, Director of Childhood Communication Services and Adjunct Professor in the Center for the Study of Human Development at Brown University, Rhode Island. A world-renowned expert on autism, Dr. Prizant spoke on the SCERTS model, a comprehensive team-based approach to support the education of autistic children by focusing on Social Communication, Emotional Regulation and Transactional Support.
